Mabel Lucie Attwell Hot Water Plate

This delightful childs hot water plate is decorated with the Mabel Lucie Attwell illustration of several Boo-Boos in an aeroplane and some with parachutes. A verse printed on the rim of the bowl reads "I took some fairies in my plane, some wanted to go down again, they had a different kind of ride, with parachutes all open wide". There is a purple border around the rim of the plate. It has the Mabel Lucie Attwell facsimile signature. The metal water container has a bright surface. There are two hinged handles and a spout with a lid. On the base is a mark which reads Garrison and Made in England. There are some faint utensil marks on the surface of the plate which can only be seen when held to the light. Otherwise, it is in very good condition and rings true when tapped.
