Treen Thread Holder

Treen was the name used for small domestic woodware. This is a combined sewing tool that consists of a thread holder, stiletto, needle case and tailor’s thimble. It unscrews in two places. The top at one end comes off to reveal a needle case and the middle part unscrews to reveal the stiletto which is hidden in the centre of the thread holder. The metal tailor’s thimble sits on the shaft of the needle case. We have not polished the wood. There is a small chip on one of the discs of the thread winder. Otherwise it is in good condition.
Measurements: Length – 5 inches (12.5 cm).
