Bone China Rose Garland Cup and Saucer
This lovely bone china cup and saucer is decorated with a border of turquoise and gilt. Below that is a garland of full blown pink roses, rose buds and green leaves. Each flower is highlighted with enamel as are the leaves. There is a small impressed mark under the saucer but we cannot decipher it. There is also a written number 1687 under each piece. The edge of the cup is gilded but it is slightly worn. There is a thin gilded line on the inside of the cup about 1mm from the top and this is also partly worn. Both pieces ring beautifully when tapped.
Measurements: Height cup – 2 ¼ inches (5.5 cm): Diameter top cup – 3 ¼ inches (8.5 cm): Diameter saucer – 5 ½ inches (14 cm).
