Sampson Mordan Sterling Silver Quill Dip Pen and Pencil

This combination writing implement has separate components to fit onto the base to form a pencil or quill dipping pen. When not in use, they are housed within one another and the case. The top of the case unscrews to reveal a chamber for storing leads. The main body has an engine-turned decoration. On one side is a blank cartouche with scrolled ends. On the other is the mark S Mordan & Co, Sterling Silver. The parts fit together very smoothly and are in excellent condition.
Measurements: Length with pen extension - 5 inches (13 cm): Weight - 1/2 oz (15 gm).
