Royal Doulton Primula Cup, Saucer and Plate
This fine bone china trio is decorated with the Royal Doulton pattern titled "Primula". It is a very dainty design in an Art Nouveau style. The pattern consists of small pink flowers, the petals of which are highlighted with touches of deeper pink enamel. The centres of the flowers are yellow and the stems and leaves are different shades of green. The edges of the plate and saucer are trimmed in pale pink as is the rim, handle and foot of the cup. It has the Royal Doulton backstamp on the base with Primula printed underneath together with a written number V1428 and the date letter 6 indicating that it was manufactured in 1933. They are in excellent condition with no damage and ring very well. Diameter saucer – 5 ½ inches (13.5 cm). Width plate – 5 ¾ inches (14.5 cm).
