Royal Doulton Art Nouveau Cup and Saucer
This fine bone china cup and saucer are decorated with a delightful Art Nouveau style. The tall flowers are coloured mauve surrounded by a pale green cartouche. The single flowers are pale yellow with pale green stems. There are dots of turquoise enamel on all the stems. The edges of the cup and saucer are outlined with bright gilt and the handle is also gilt. There are two numbers written on the base – E3906 and RA 6217 next to the Royal Doulton backstamp. These numbers indicate that the duo was introduced in 1905-6. They are in excellent condition with no damage and ring very well.
Measurements: Height cup – 2 ½ inches (6.5 cm): Diameter top cup – 3 inches (7.5 cm): Diameter saucer – 5 ½ inches (14 cm).
