Miniature Crochet Hook
This is the smallest crochet hook that we have ever seen. It has a bone or ivory handle with a steel shaft and fine sharp hook. It is connected to a fine chain. It is in excellent condition with no damage. Crochet comes from the French word for little hook. Crochet hooks are made in different sizes according to the size of the thread. The hook draws the thread through knotted loops to form a chain stitch. They have been in use since the early 1800s. Measurements: Length handle - 1 1/4 inches (3 cm): Length shaft - 5/8 inches (1.5 cm): Length chain - 5 inches (12.5 cm).
