Ten Jonathan Couch Fish Prints - 2

Listed are ten prints from Volume 1 of " A History of the Fishes of the British Islands" by Jonathan Couch. A further 10 prints are listed separately. Jonathan Couch (1789-1870) was a Doctor who practiced in Polperro, Cornwall until he died aged 81. He trained many fishermen to help him as a naturalist in ichthyology. His major contribution was "A History of the Fishes of the British Islands" in four volumes with coloured illustrations from his own drawings. One edge of each is a little frayed but otherwise the prints are in fine condition with no foxing except for one very small spot on one and no other damage.
