Mason's Floral Ironstone Plate
This ironstone plate is decorated with an unusual design. There is an illustration of this pattern in Godden's Mason's book on page 189. The description reads as follows "Mason's ironstone jug of unusual shape and pattern on a dark blue ground." This plate has a bright green border, gilt trim and cartouches of different patterns. The centre has a white background with the pattern of a vase on a stand containing some flowers. There is a burnt orange border around the scene. Four of the cartouches have an orange background. It has the Mason's Ironstone backstamp and a written number B1786. The addition of England dates it to after 1891. It is in excellent condition with no damage and rings very well. Measurements: Diameter – 10 inches (26 cm).
