The Imps Nursery Ware Bowl
This heavy earthenware oval child's bowl is decorated with the delightful pattern titled "The Imps". It features three imps looking out a window in an old tree trunk. It has a sign on the tree which reads Goblin Villa. There are some clothes hanging on one of the branches as well is two mean looking crows. The rim of the bowl is edged with green enamel on the inside and outer edge. It has a backstamp marked "The Imps" Nursery Ware Grimwade's Stoke-on-Trent England and in an impressed registration number 557903 which dates manufacture to after 1910. The bowl is lightly crazed commensurate with age but otherwise it is in excellent condition with no damage and rings true when tapped. Measurements: Height - 1 1/4 inches (3.5 cm): Depth - 6 inches (15 cm): Length - 8 inches (20 cm): Weight - 21 oz (600 gm).
