Royal Winton Golfing Plate This unusual Royal Winton plate has a mottled blue centre, and around the rim at each corner is a golfing scene. One scene features a golfer about to hit off with two other golfers watching. There is a village in the background. The scene is repeated on the opposite corner. The other scene features a golfer with his stick over his shoulder and two other golfers watching, again with a village in the background and again repeated on the opposite corner. The rim of the plate has a scalloped bright gilt edge. The backstamp was used between 1920 and 1930. The centre of the plate is lightly crazed. The golfing scenes have a couple of tiny white marks on them. There are also two tiny white spots on the black line around the blue centre. Otherwise it is in very good condition and rings true when tapped. Measurement: Width - 8 inches (20 cm): Weight - 12 oz (340 gm).
