Sampson Mordan Gold Mechanical Pencil

This mechanical pencil telescopes out from its case by pulling on a slider ring. There is a bail or ring for it to hang from a chain. The shell is almost certainly gold but we cannot find a mark. It is stamped S Mordan and Co. The firm specialised in mechanical pencils and was in business from 1815 to 1941. It is in excellent condition and slides smoothly.
Measurements: Length closed – 2 inches (5 cm): Length open – 3 ¼ inches (8.5 cm).
