Grimwades Glimpses of the East Dish
This earthenware dish is decorated with a lustre glaze and a scene titled Glimpses of the East. It features a potentate in his robes seated on a balcony beside a lake with a maid servant bringing him refreshments on a tray. It is a very colourful scene with a mainly blue lustre background. The plate has a gilt edge to the rim which is slightly worn. Otherwise it is in excellent condition with no damage and rings very well. The backstamp indicates that the dish was introduced after 1906. Measurements: Diameter – 7 ¼ inches (18.5 cm).
