Royal Albert Crocus Bone China Trio
This bone china trio is decorated with a delightful pattern titled "Crocus". It features brightly coloured crocuses which seem to be growing in a row from the base of the cup. The crocuses on the saucer and plate seem to be growing around the centres. The flowers are coloured yellow, orange, mauve and blue with green leaves. The crocuses are highlighted in enamel are the leaves. The rims of the saucer and plate are edged with bright gilt as is the top rim and foot of the cup and the handle. The backstamp indicates that the trio was manufactured between 1917 and 1927. They are in mint condition with no damage and ring true when tapped. Measurements: Height cup – 2 ½ inches (6.5 cm): Diameter top cup – 3 ¼ inches (8 cm): Diameter saucer – 5 ½ inches (14 cm). Width plate – 6 inches (15.5 cm). (The thimble is to indicate size).
