Mabel Lucie Attwell Cowboy James Trio This charming bone china trio is decorated with a pattern titled "Cowboy James". It features a little boy dressed in cowboy clothes waving a lassoo while riding a little pony. A verse is printed on each piece which reads "Here's Cowboy James, All Up to His Games". The illustration is by Mabel Lucie Attwell and has her facsimile signature on each piece. The rims for each are edged with pale blue as is the handle of the cup. This nursery ware was presented to the then HRH Princess Elizabeth for Prince Charles in 1949. The backstamp was used between 1945 and 1966. Each piece is in mint condition and rings true when tapped. Measurements: Height cup - 2 3/4 inches (7 cm): Diameter cup - 2 3/4 inches (7 cm): Diameter saucer - 5 1/2 inches (14 cm): Diameter plate - 6 inches (15 cm): Weight - 14 oz (400 gm).
