Spode Copeland’s Chintz Demitasse
This Spode Copeland’s bone china demitasse and saucer are decorated in a chintz pattern titled Old Concord. The background is a pale beige colour with pale grey dots scattered all over. Then there are several pastel-coloured sprays of flowers around the cup and saucer including one bunch inside the cup. One flower in each of these sprays is highlighted with bright red enamel. The edges of the duo are outlined with bright gilding. The handle is also trimmed with gilding. The backstamp indicates that they were manufactured between 1940 and 1956. They are in excellent condition with no damage and ring very well.
Measurements: Height cup – 2 ¼ inches ( cm): Diameter top cup – 2 ¼ inches ( cm): Diameter saucer – 4 ¾ inches (12 cm).
