Charles Ford Imari Trio
This bone china trio is decorated with a floral and leafy pattern in the striking Imari colours. The pattern has a lot of gilding highlighting the leaves and flowers. There is an impressed monogram on the base of the saucer and plate but not the cup with the initials CF which stands for Charles Ford. These pottery works were in existence for only 30 years from 1874 to 1904. Unfortunately, the gilding is worn on the edges of all three pieces but otherwise they ring very well when tapped.
Measurements: Height cup – 2 ¼ inches (6 cm): Diameter top cup – 2 ½ inches (6.5 cm): Diameter saucer – 5 ½ inches (14 cm): Diameter plate – 6 ¼ inches (16 cm).
