Doulton Burslem Bone China Centre Piece Bowl

This magnificent bone china oval bowl has a white background. It is trimmed with a sponged gilt pattern on the inside and outside. The scalloped rim is edged with gilt. It has two very intricate scrolled feet which are also decorated with sponged gilt. There is a shield like prow on the front of the bowl which has a square and star gilt pattern. The backstamp was used from 1886 to 1891 and the registration number 127749 dates manufacture to 1889 or later. It is in mint condition with no damage and rings true when tapped. This is a fine Doulton Burslem cabinet piece.
