Bunnykins

Barbara Vernon Bailey was the daughter of Cuthbert Bailey who became managing director of Royal Doulton in 1925. She became a nun at the age of nineteen and took the name of Sister Mary Barbara. Her father decided to introduce a new line of children's nurseryware in 1934 and she illustrated the series until the 1950s. Sister Mary Barbara died in 2003 aged 92.
