Mabel Lucie Attwell Boo-boo Plate

This charming small plate is decorated with an illustration by the well-known children's artist Mabel Lucie Attwell. It features a child leading a dog with a boo-boo on its back and another following. A verse is printed on the top rim of the plate and reads " Look At This Wee, Jolly Elf – Fido Caught It - All Himself! ". It has the Mabel Lucie Attwell facsimile signature near the child's left shoe. The rim is outlined in dark bkue enamel. A registration mark 721360 indicates that it was introduced after 1926. The backstamp was used between 1925 and 1945. It is in excellent condition and rings extremely well.
