Bodley Cup and Saucer

This dainty bone china cup and saucer are each decorated with a pastel coloured floral border. The base of the cup has a solid beige colour. The saucer has a solid yellow band around the centre. Although the cup and saucer have different colours, when the cup is sitting on the saucer it reflects the yellow band so that they look like a pair. Each have bands of gilt. The backstamp is for EJBD Burslem used by the Bodley company between 1875 and 1892. Both are in excellent condition and ring very well especially as they were manufactured in about 1886. The cup has a couple of very small dark spots on the inside.
Measurements: Height cup – 2 ¾ inches (7 cm): Diameter top cup – 2 ½ inches (6.5 cm): Diameter saucer – 5 ½ inches (14 cm).
