Shelley Bluebells Creamer
This bone china creamer has a very distinctive Art Deco shape with a solid handle. It is decorated with the Shelley pattern titled Bluebells. It features bluebells on a green stem and leaves with a grey shadow-like stem beside the coloured one. Underneath the flowers is a yellow zigzag line and a small grey one. On the other side of the creamer is a similar stem of bluebells with a smaller stem under the spout. The solid handle has a bright green border and the rest is yellow. The foot of the creamer has a yellow edge. The outside rim of the spout is edged with pale green. The pattern number 11855 indicates that it was entered in pattern book during or after 1931 and the backstamp was used between 1925 and 1940. It is in mint condition with no damage and rings true when tapped. Measurements: Height – 3 inches (8 cm): Length handle to lip – 5 inches (13 cm): Diameter top – 3 ½ inches (8.5 cm): Diameter base – 2 ½ inches (6.5 cm).
