Carlton Ware Bleu Royale New Storks Vase

This beautiful Carlton Ware vase is decorated with the pattern titled "New Storks". It features two storks wading in water. In the foreground are two trees with pendulous branches and with hundreds of gilt leaves which are highlighted with orange, pink, dark green and pale green enamel. The storks are also highlighted with gilt and orange enamel. The back of the vase has a pattern of pendulous gilt and enamel leaves. The handles are covered in bright gilt. The top rim and foot are also edged with gilt. The background is Bleu Royale. The pattern number is 4367. The Carlton Ware backstamp was used after 1925. There is an impressed number on the base but it is very difficult to make out. The vase is in excellent condition and rings extremely well.
Measurements: Height - 6 inches (15 cm): Width from handle to handle – 3 ½ inches (9 cm).
