Bisto Dutch Matchstick Dolls Trio

This quaint earthenware trio are decorated with Dutch or Matchstick dolls. The pattern is based on a design by Florence Upton. They have a swirled ribbed shape and each piece has a gilt rim. The plate and the saucer have a backstamp for Bisto England indicating manufacture by Bishop and Stonier of Hanley, Staff. UK prior to 1936. All three pieces have a printed pattern number B2441. The cup has two small areas where the glaze has not taken, one on the top side of the handle and the other just under the gilt rim. Otherwise it is in very good condition. The saucer and the plate are in excellent condition.
Measurements: Height cup - 2 inches (5 cm): Diameter top cup - 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm): Diameter saucer - 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm): Diameter plate - 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm).
