Shelley China Balloon Tree Cake Plate

This fine bone china cake plate is decorated with the Shelley pattern titled "Balloon Tree". It features a stylised tree laden with bright enamelled fruit or balloons. It has green grass at the foot of the tree. The edge is outlined with bright green enamel as are the two tabs. There are a few light scratches on the face that do not mar the pattern and can only be seen when angled to the light.  It is otherwise in excellent condition and rings true when tapped. It has the pattern number 11674 written on the base and the Shelley backstamp which indicates that it was introduced in 1928 and withdrawn by 1945.
