Aynsley Alphabet Plate

This unusual earthenware plate has an alphabet border in relief. There is an illustration encircled by the sign language for the letters. The illustration is a black and white print of a little Dutch boy and girl hugging along with another little girl sitting on a wall. The plate has a gadroon edge with a red line underneath. It has an old Aynsley backstamp and a registration number 426673 which dates manufacture to 1904. The black and white picture is slightly worn commensurate with age. Otherwise it is in good condition and rings well.
Measurement: Diameter - 6 1/4 inches (15.5 cm).
